A Fresh Choice for Quality, Flexibility and Value

Solix Algredients is a B2B supplier of algae-based, natural ingredients that benefit health-conscious consumers.

We’re building a company that’s a one-stop shop for high-quality algal ingredients. We want to make it easy for customers to purchase the algal ingredients they need to take advantage of consumer demand. And, we want our customers to be confident they are getting the highest possible quality ingredients.

Solix does this via a flexible business model that’s designed to maximize both quality and value. We’re an industry underdog competing against entrenched players to bring choice, flexibility and value to customers. We deliver high-quality products.

    Solix “Triple-Factor Quality Management System”

Robust Testing. Supplier certification program, plus raw material, in-process, and finished product testing that meets or exceeds highest industry quality requirements.

Rigorous Manufacturing Discipline. Implementation of FDA-based standard operating procedures for repeatable, reproducible quality management activity.

Third-Party Certification. Solix’s manufacturing processes are certified by industry respected, third-party organizations, to be in conformance with the requirements of FDA cGMP.

Our pricing is very competitive with the leading industry suppliers and reflects the value we leverage from our cost-advantaged supply chain.

Solix’s focus is as a pure B2B ingredients supplier, unlike other companies with significant and/or growing business segments featuring their own branded consumer products for retail sales.

    Solix Algredients – History

An Algae Company From The Start

For 11 years, a focus on understanding algae, and applying that expertise commercially, has been the focal point for Solix.

Founded in 2006, and most recently operating as Solix BioSystems, the company’s origins were in algae-based biofuels. The company developed and successfully deployed a robust algal growth system (AGS) based on its patented, extended-surface area closed photobioreactor panels. AGS is a proven system for the production of algal biomass, and Solix operated a demonstration facility in southwestern Colorado for multiple years.

    Strategic Direction

In late 2015, Solix strategically repositioned as a B2B supplier of high-quality, natural ingredients derived from algae for the nutrition and personal care markets. Operating as Solix Algredients, the company is helping manufacturers and brands bring the benefits of algae-based natural ingredients to health-conscious consumers.
